Wisdom Teeth.
Yup. They're gone...as of yesterday.
I was so nervous the night before.
I was instructed to take this pill, Xanax, 90 minutes before my operation. I thought I heard of it once before, but it just didn't click. Later, I was to find out that Xanax is a prescription drug to help calm down anxiety and whatnot. Haha. So basically all the nervousness from the night before went POOF! Usually I don't believe in pills, but miraculously, this one worked. It was quite funny, as the hygienists were leading me to the room, they were like, "Are you okay?? Are you feeling a little nervous?? How are you??"
Thanks to the Xanax, all I could say was, "Yeah. It's whatev. I'm fine." I was so surprised of myself.
I laid down in that dentists chair, expecting the worst. They stuck the pulser thing to my finger, and a bunch of heart monitors to my chest, arms, and stomach. Then there was that stupid bib they always make you wear. Then they put the mask on me. If it wasn't for that amazing Xanax, that heart monitor machine would have been beeping off the wall.
Then there was the IV! I hate the IV! I HATE needles...IN MY BODY! I cringe every time I get shots, and my parents laugh at me for the faces that I make. Yet again, thanks to the Xanax, I was like, "Huh? What? Oh, that's a needle in me!" I felt a little uncomfortable because I could feel the slight presence of the needle sticking in me...I wanted to cringe, but I fell asleep before I even had the thought to.
All I remember prior to me passing out was my doctor saying, "So you should be falling asleep in a few...."
I was out.
It seemed like I only slept for about 10 seconds before I woke up. I have no idea how they woke me up...I mean really! How do surgeons wake their patients up after surgery? Do they slap them in the face multiple times? Do they gently shake you? Do they call your name until you gain consciousness? Because I didn't get any of that. Does the sleepy stuff immediately come to a HALT once the procedure is over?? I guess that's one thing I will never know.
All that I remember was that I opened my eyes, and I saw the hygienists taking off the sticky heart monitor stuff off me. As I regained my senses I noticed that my mouth was stuffed in cotton balls and gauze. It was quite embarrassing. One hygienist helped me up from the chair. I thought I was fine, but once I put my two feet on the ground, I was so dizzy I almost fell down on the ground.
She put me in a wheelchair and wheeled me over to my parents. I've never felt so pathetic and dependent in my life. Haha. My parents even looked at me as if I was a poor, little, sick dog. *sigh*
So I got home, took a few pictures of my swollen face, and fell asleep for an hour or two. I was rudely woken up because I had to take some pills and replace all the gauze in my mouth.
I honestly didn't need my pills yet. They anesthesia hadn't worn off yet, so I was numb, and I only felt a small, annoying, dull pain in my jaw.
THEN I GET A PHONE CALL!
This is where it gets interesting. (Sydney, brace yourself!)
Guess who it is! Bryan Timothy Kloppe. Here's how the conversation went...
Monica: Hewwo?
Bryan: Monica! How are you feeling?
Monica: Ihm ohay I hess. I hot my wishwom heef hulled.
Bryan: Well, are you awake?
Monica: Hah.
Bryan: Well, I'm at your door. You should open it.
Monica: Huh? Right hrow??
Bryan: Yes, right now.
Monica: WHA? Uhh ohay, hold hon.
So I open the door and there he was, looking all normal, and there I was, looking like a complete and total wreck. I was in my warm-ups, a Millennium t-shirt, my hair was all messed up, and shall we forget about all the cotton in my mouth?
Well, my mom and dad, as always, were very ecstatic to see Bryan. We were all surprised because it was a last minute notice...LITERALLY. I guess the reason why he came over was because he got my something from Disneyland. It's a fake gold keychain in the shape of an "M" with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy's faces on it. It would've been a cute little thing to do, but it was Bryan, so there was no cuteness in this act. As always, I put on the best fake smile as I could as my mother adorned him while we made conversation. Honestly, I don't even remember too much of it because I basically was high. Good thing, right?
Well, here I am now...Still on drugs, but I feel a bit more conscious than yesterday...Just chillin' in front of this computer, sucking on some jell-o.
This soft-food diet is getting pretty old.
So throughout this entire endeavor, I've come to a question that I doubt even the greatest theologists cannot even explain: Why did God invent wisdom teeth?
I guess I'll find out eventually...
=] *ow* =[

I don't understand myself.
Lots of things happen all the time,
but I always have nothing to write about.
I always want more excitement in my life,
but I'm too lazy to get out and do something.
I have so much motivation to do better in the future,
but when the time comes, I chicken out.
I say one thing,
but I do something else.
awfhau;wegoia;wejfoajew;oaiwerrawrrrrrrrrrrrr
I dislike myself sometimes.

A quote....
A quote to summarize my...earlier this week? I made it up myself, so that's what makes it cooler.
"Today...
I manned up and cried my eyes out."

Ugh.
I'm too nice of a person.
When someone talks about me, demeans me, ignores me, tries to blackmail me, or just straight up is a buttface to me,
I STILL STRIVE TO BE HIS/HER FRIEND.
Why can't I find the courage to take a step...a step away?
I'm a lame-o.

PROM WAS AMAZING!!
Took lots of pictures.
Laughed too much.
Danced my heart out.
Maynne.
It was so much fun. Let me tell ya a bit about it...
Well Bryan (obviously) picked me up. Took a ton of pictures at Paul's house...Ashley needs to send me some too, by the way! The bus arrived and took us to PF Chang's ALL THE WAY IN TEMPE!! It was quite funny, while we were walking from our bus to the restaurant a block away, people were staring and clapping and cheering. We felt like fricken celebrities! It was amazing! I've never felt so special in my life. Haha.
So the realization that it was prom day still hadn't hit me.
The service was quite slow, but I don't blame the poor waiters. It was quite busy that night. We finally finished our food 45 minutes after prom started. Haha. THEN, we were further delayed our prom experience due to A FRICKEN FAR AWAY RESTAURANT! Stupid, Paul!
So we finally get to prom at around 8:15...the dance started at 7. I really would've wanted to take more pictures and say hi to more people at prom, but I hurried my butt up to the dance floor pretty much as soon as I got there. Haha.
Bryan and I took a formal picture. I think I'LL turn out great. =P Ashley and I wanted a group shot of us and our men, but the lame photographers had to pack up when we found each other. lol
After prom everyone just chilled at Paul's house.
That was fun.
I love my life and everyone in it.

*cough* Well...
So Sydney keeps bugging me about my lack of blog posts...I don't blame her, but I suppose there's just no time to write everything I wanted to? Eh.
Umm...PROM IS THIS SATURDAY!!
We had a ticket situation at our school...As in, THEY RAN OUT OF PROM TICKETS.
FRICK! How could a school run out of tickets for PROM?? I was so fired up about that episode, I even wrote an essay about it...in calculus!
MUHHH....
Maybe if I get the time to finish it, I'll post it? But at this rate, I wouldn't expect that essay.
Okay I'm officially christening this the prom blog. YES.
ON A LIGHTER PROM NOTE,
Bryan and I finally got the flowers and his tux!! YES.
I finally got my prom makeup too...Except his tux is white, and my face is brown...if you get what I mean...So idk.
Umm...Sydney and her Twilight talk is distracting me...So no more of this blog!

Just for Sydney. (My Sweep Policy Myspace Blog)
Due to my lack of time, this blog might suck.
Therefore my grammar and usage probably makes no sense.
Therefore my grammar and usage probably makes no sense.
Kid.
He’s power-walking down the halls while trying to dodge the ignorant clumps of slow or unmoving people. He has prioritized his time so that he can walk from one end of the campus to the opposite pole just in time. However, his stubborn teacher claimed that her lesson was not over, and "the bell doesn’t dismiss the class," she does. He quickens his pace as he realizes how much further he has to walk to get to his next class. Why does the campus seem so long?
*DSAOFIEAGIHAOWTHL*
That was the minute bell.
At least he made it into the hallway. He swings the heavy, green doors open. Running the rest of the way to his isolated class room, he is stalled again by 35 students blocking the hallway, waiting for their absent-minded teacher to arrive (late yet again). He attempts to weave through the densly-packed crowd of bodies while receiving dirty looks and shoves. As soon as he is freed, he catches the eye contact of his next hour teacher, holding the classroom door open. He sprints down the long hallway, again trying to dodge others sprinting in the other direction. He is within 10 feet of the classroom door, and suddenly,
*DING DING DING DING*
The final bell has rung.
He gives up from his haste and struggles to the classroom. He looks up at his teacher’s eyes again. The teacher waves goodbye and shuts the classroom door--right in his face.
Doesn’t that seem like a likely story?
Now, the time we have between classes is not what is getting under my skin (at this moment. that, my friend, is another blog), it’s the stupid sweep policy.
Teachers often state on the first day of school that "it is their job to help you succeed"...or something along those words. Am I right?
Don’t teachers want their students to succeed? Won’t it look bad on their behalf if their classes are failing?
Well...to succeed in that said class, should you have to attend that class, even if you were 5 seconds late? Sending that student to sweep not only deprives them of the lesson that day, but it also takes them one step back from success.
And to throw it out there, isn’t grading late work a pain for teachers? Pfft. I know I’d be irritated.
Okay, so I know if a student is 5 minutes late, that’s ridiculous, but 5 seconds and off to sweep?? That is ridiculous. And to top that off, when you get sent back to class by sweep, that just makes you 10 more minutes late. Wtf, mate.
I used to know of a teacher. She was a great teacher. Sadly, she doesn’t teach at Millennium anymore.
She used to love teaching-- I know it. She used to say, "Nobody better ditch my class, and if you are in sweep, I will hunt you down!" (Or something like that.) She used to say that because she wanted her students to succeed. She didn’t want them to waste a precious class period in sweep, when instead, they could be LEARNING. Isn’t that what we’re supposed to do, anyway? LEARN? I think so.
Pfft. If I was a teacher, I’d take the same attitude as the teacher I mentioned above.
I could ramble on and on about the subject. But, what I’m trying to say is that teachers need to be practical when it comes to sending their students to sweep. Not only does it make you look like a dick-headed teacher, you’re stifling the student’s success and undermining your reputation as a teacher.
If a kid is a few feet away from the classroom after the final bell rings, would it really hurt to just let him in?

Oh wow.
It's my first post for March, and March is almost halfway over.
It's not that I've suddenly lost an interest in this website, it's my lack of even getting on the internet.
Maynne. Even my myspace is under-maintained. I have old comments and spam messages like OFF THE WALL!
Good thing I found some time right now? Although I really should be doing the intense amount of homework I have...especially in math. Grr...math.
So...an update of my life?
I finally found a date to prom! =D
I raised my math grade 50% since the last time I saw it. (Yeah. Wow.)
I've come to realize how many people I strongly dislike.
Then again, I've come to realize who my true friends are.
I've decided to tryout for drum major.
I did not make all-state band.
Last week was the most stressful and busiest week of my life.
Since last week, my life has been at it's happiest.
I can't wait for spring break...(So I can find THE prom dress. =D)
Ehh. That's about it...for now.
OH YEAH. And I'm in the process of writing a new myspace blog!
You know what that means...
ROOM FOR DEBATE! yesss.

Regionals
...were cute.
I absolutely loved how at the very first rehearsal, the director didn't have to explain, in-depth, the basic fundamentals of music.
*sigh of relief*
The whole...giving-you-your-music-in-advance-if-you-don't- learn-it-you'll-die concept is pretty much amazing because at the very first downbeat, it sounded like we've been practicing together for weeks on end, even though we haven't met once. Maynne. Those are the kinds of musicians I need to befriend-- the kind that know what they're doing and sound good doing it. No offense to some people who would find it offending, but learning how to count every measure in a simple song gets old after awhile. Whatever floats your boat, I suppose.
There were no cute boys. *sigh* HAHA. Inside joke.
TRUE LIFE STATEMENT:
Not all flutes are cutthroat. GASP! And those who were cutthroat sat in the last few chairs. (Irony?)
Don't scare me again.
So I pretty much forgot what I was going to say...
Oh well.

NO! -er
My glasses now won't come until Thursday.
WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!!?
don't get glasses on base.
HOWEVER,
on a lighter note,
I received quite a hilarious picture. I guarantee that it would make you laugh just as it did for me.

NO!
So the glasses lady lied to me.
From the time I ordered my glasses, she told me it would take 7-10 days, most likely EARLIER.
Well, it's been 7 days, and I called the cute little optical shop.
To my surprise,
NO!!!!!!
Four more days of death!

FINALLY!
February 1, 2008
Another day, another casualty.
I'm finally getting a new pair of glasses! =D
It took me so long to find some good frames, and after long moments of discretion, I FINALLY find one that looks good, compliments my face shape, and reflects my personality. It was pretty much perfect, except for the fact that the lenses were placed too close to my face, and my eyelashes rubbed against them. The nice glasses lady tried to alter as much as she could to the sample frames, but nothing could be done. I was very dismayed.
=[
Then, I found a nice frame (or the lack therof). However, they're men's "frames." haha.
Why am I chuckling so much at this word, "frames"? (haha.)
It is because they're FRAMELESS!
Haha.
Wow.
I'm a dork.
Eat some pork?!

PANNNNNICKINGGGGG....
31 days until I take my SAT.
NOOOOO!!
Man, I feel so OLD.
Gah.
Why is it always when I try to grasp the sands of time, it seems to quickly filter through the cracks of my fingers? Then, when I release my grip, all that remains are the sharp, unwanted, broken-glass pieces of time. And that, when handled slightly incorrectly, leave deep gashes in your worn palms that later reveal the never-to-be-healed, permanent scars which constantly remind you of the mistakes you've made in your lifetime. Upon then, when time finally ticks your life away, you look back at your hands, and examine in shame of how imperfect they are.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Time.
Time.

Hooray!
So I've decided to try this new fad called "daily flossing."
In the past, I was always too lazy to do so. Instead, I'd purchases toothpastes with "EXTREME CLEAN" and "EXTRA FLUORIDE POWER" and "with BAKING SODA AND PEROXIDE" plastered brightly on their labels in order to reciprocate for my flossing (or the lack thereof).
However, the ever-so-threatening scare of my brother's lack of dental hygiene insinuating the presence of tartar buildup inspired me to make a movement on my chompers.
REVELATION! Power to mint-waxed, easy-gliding hierarchy of the underestimated FLOSS.
yay for personal hygiene!

My Life Before This Very Moment.
I was going to start off with a very sarcastic joke about my birth having no significance-- but then I thought, "Wow, that's really corny."
Life pretty much began during my Junior year. Before the summer of said year, I was just a lifeless being that merely vegetated upon our Mother Earth. Oh goodness...In middle school, I was like a big, fat fireball that destroyed everything good in its path. Man, I was such a loser. Freshman year, I wasted trying to be someone I truly was not...and other things occurred that I will refuse to mention. Ah, Sophomore year. Ya know how the Chinese have different years devoted to a certain animal? Well, that year was simply devoted to drama, failure, and hopelessness. That was also the year of Christopher James (name-- I told you I'd use it.), and that information I will not disclose in an online blog. It was also the first year to Disneyland! That, would actually be the actual start of my life...a start, however, a small start nonetheless. After those 3 fun-filled days, one would think that I would love band more than I did initially. WRONG. Somehow I realized that band is not life, unless you plan on majoring in music. Ironically, elation makes me evaluate my life-- the good and bad equally. However, in that one evaluation, that bad--for once--outnumbered the good (and the next band camp didn't help my cause either).
Misery. Pain. Agony. Anguish. Rage. Relief.
(those were the 6 days of band camp)
Multiple circumstances over the summer (ie band, my job, friend stuff...) led me to realize that there is much more to life than the monotony of "everyday," and I should live every single day as if it were my last-- being "bold" as Ashley, Amanda, and I would say. I posted a myspace blog about it. It received many comments, so therefore makes it worth reading. Ask me about a link.
I quit my job during the wake of the school year, and along with doing so, I lost a few good friends and Kyle. Long story. Marching band season went very successful, and my classes were easy. When the season ended, however, my semester had become more rigorous. Luckily, I ended up with a 4.2 GPA. =D
My friends threw me a surprise 17th birthday party! It was simply a blast. I was totally unexpecting of that event. I was truly impressed. That was when I realized that I love my life and everyone in it. =] I posted a myspace blog on that too. Ask me for a link. Hopefully I didn't delete it.
I went to Winter Formal with Bryan, as "dates." It was very cute. We went out to eat before the dance, and our fellow restaurant-goers were confused as to what event we were headed off to, seeing that it was January. We had some interesting inquiries like Prom, a wedding, and Homecoming. None of which asked about Winter Formal. It made me feel a bit awkward, but it was alright. The food was good (and of course the company was too =]) Granted that we were 45 minutes late to the dance, I still had a great time. After Formal, Paul, Ashley, Bryan, and I decided to chill and whatnot, and I never got home until 12:45-- the dance ended at 11. Countless interrogations from my parents continue to go on to this very day. Frick, Bryan! Haha.
This semester is hecka hard. I have the good teacher for Calculus (FINALLY), however he is also the hardest (FRICK). My US History is going very well. I neglected to do a few assignments, and I still have a solid A (knock on wood). Spanish II is pretty good too. All we're doing right now is reviewing (still) and on the last test, I received a 105%. Go me! Band is pretty good...I suppose. Being in Symphonic Band, I was hoping to escape the innumerable, boisterous remarks about how Symphonic can kick Concert Band's butt any time and any day of any given week and how he simply despises us and hopes we DIE. I might be exaggerating that last statement, but hopefully you understand what I'm conveying.
I made Regionals! Fourth chair, baby! I've honestly never felt so accomplished in my life. I could ramble on and on about auditions, but I've done that too much via voice.
Lately, I've been focusing on college stuff much more than what I'm supposed to be focusing on: graduating. I've signed up for the March 1st SAT, looked at scholarships and colleges, reading about various majors, planned campus tours...but when it comes to merely passing high school *slaps forehead,* oops, I forgot.
Yesterday Sydney somehow inspired me to create a blog.
Yesterday and yesternight it rained like a biblical story. My perrito (puppy en espanol) refused to go outside so she can finally empty her bladder, and it didn't help that she was terrified of water. My parents were getting antsy; the only thing they hate (besides me getting a B or lower) is when the dog pees in the house. So, after 60 Minutes last night, my dad tries to get my dog outside. Of course, he failed, but the process of his try was hilarious. He opened the back door, stared at my dog and bellowed, "Go outside, Maddie!" Once several failed attempts were made, he elaborated his wordage and yelled, "Go and PEE!" He just kept getting louder and louder. I thought to myself, "Huh. I wonder what the neighbors are thinking." Haha. They probably think we're insane.
Today school was fine.
My brother came home a half an hour ago.
Sydney won't answer her phone.

Disclaimer:
So,
I've decided to get this blog account because I realized that I really like to share my petty little life stories with people. Therefore this blog is about said petty little life stories, and the blog on my Myspace is reserved for my deep thoughts and revelations in life.
However,
because I've finally set up an account like this, this is my chance to be honest-- completely, utterly honest. Don't judge. That means I WILL use names, dates, and places, and I have no shame in doing so. In rare occasions that I may sense shame, then I will exclude/change said names, dates, and places, but only upon notofication.
That's about it for now.
Get ready for the truth.
HELLO WORLD! MY NAME IS MONICA!!
